InfectoTest® team with Zendia GmbH as a project leader, are honoured to be the recipients of a generous €1.1 million research grant from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) for their pioneering KMU-innovativ-23 project: ”InfectoTest® – One Stop Platform for High Sensitive Multispecies Diagnostic of Malaria at the Point-of-Care”. The grant will catalyse the advancement of InfectoTest®, an innovative diagnostic tool designed to detect the presence of malaria parasites in blood samples with unparalleled sensitivity. Using antibody-mediated magnetic enrichment alongside fluorescence microscopy, the test promises to identify individual parasites in blood samples, potentially transforming malaria diagnosis. The project, funded from September 2019 to September 2022, sets a new trajectory for the future of malaria diagnosis and care.
